Dennis Gregory began his career as a solo artist in early 1980’s when he was introduced to Noel “Fish” Salmon by his cousin Richard who give him his first taste of working in a recording studio. That was Easy Street Studios in Bethnal Green, East London where Dennis recorded a cover of Michael Jacksons “Girlfriend”. Regrettably. the track was never released but Dennis had the bug. Being a fanatical admirer of the talents of the immortal Dennis Brown and addicted to the engineering skills of late great King Tubby’s,
Dennis kitted out his room at home with recording equipment using it to write songs and hone his vocal skills.

In 1984 he entered and won Capital Radio’s Roots Rockers Show talent competition. The competition was run by David Rodigan and the prize was a recording session at the Capital Radio studio.

Dennis recorded three tracks backed by Aswad and other great session musicians, and the first of the tracks "After The Party" was released in the spring of 1985,which went to number three in the Black Echoes reggae Chart

Dennis released further tracks "Loves Gonna Last" and "0h Young Lady" on Lee Laing’s Sound City label.

Dennis has written and recorded other tracks with Anthony “Sir George” Brightly such as “It’s Too Late” and “Red Is The Rose” as well as his work with the vocal group One Destiny.

Dennis has continued writing songs and now has a substantial catalogue of material bursting to be let loose on the world.
